Michael Zavarello

Michael Zavarello has over 20 years of experience in web development and digital strategy. Michael began their career in 1999 as a Front-end Developer for Current Medicine Group, where they designed and developed websites and managed custom-built content management systems. In 2006, they moved to the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia as a Senior Web Developer, where they were the lead developer for several public- and internal-facing websites. Michael then became the Lead Front-end Developer for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta in 2013. In this role, they oversaw the day-to-day operations of the bank's public websites, established their team as subject matter experts in user experience, and served as lead front-end developer for many high-visibility publications, tools, and initiatives. In 2021, they joined Evident ID as an Insurance Product Manager. Additionally, since 2004, they have served as a remote, part-time front-end web developer for the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine.

Michael Zavarello obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Montclair State University between 1993 and 1998. In 2020, they obtained a Certificate in User Experience with UX Management Speciality from the Nielsen Norman Group in August, a Web Design for Usability certification from The Interaction Design Foundation in July, and a User Experience: The Beginner’s Guide certification from The Interaction Design Foundation in April.
