Benjamin Yim

Benjamin Yim has extensive work experience in the field of quality assurance and test automation. Benjamin served as a Senior Software Test Engineer at Evisions Inc., where they led a QA team in developing UI and API test automation frameworks for cloud-based software offerings and advised on quality assurance processes. Prior to that, they worked at Siemens PLM Software as a Principal Quality Engineer, leading a test automation team in developing and maintaining a test automation framework for Siemens' flagship operation intelligence software. Benjamin also performed load, performance, and stability testing and championed continuous process improvement within the QA organization. Benjamin worked at Kofax as a Sr. Principal Quality Assurance Engineer, implementing keyword-driven automated regression test suites and leading a test automation team across multiple product teams. At Wonderware/Invensys, they served as a Principal Software QA Engineer, leading testing efforts and coordinating tasks for ArchestrA Visualization. Earlier in their career, Benjamin worked as an SQA Consultant at Spherion Technologies, implementing testing methodology and processes for Fluor Corporation's financial and accounting software packages, and as a Software QA Engineer at Simulation Sciences, leading testing efforts for PRO/II and ROMeo releases.

Benjamin Yim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, obtained between 1991 and 1995. Benjamin later pursued a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from UC Irvine, which they completed between 1995 and 1997.

In addition to their formal education, Benjamin Yim has obtained various certifications. Benjamin earned the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2022, as well as the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification in July 2022. Benjamin also holds certifications in Agile Fundamentals, Agile Testing, Agile Test Automation from ICAgile, obtained in May 2018, May 2017, and April 2017 respectively. Moreover, they attained the AWS Partner: Accreditation (Business) and AWS Partner: Sales Accreditation (Business) from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2022.
