James Buxton has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. James began their career at Jefferson State Community College in 2005, holding the position of Academic Advisor for nearly a decade. From 2015 to 2018, they served as the Director of Articulation before being promoted to the role of Registrar and Director of Articulation in 2018.

In 2019, James transitioned to Evisions where they took on the role of Sales Representative. James quickly advanced to become an Account Executive, responsible for managing client accounts. In 2020, they were promoted again to the role of Client Partner, where they worked closely with clients to ensure their satisfaction. Most recently, they assumed the position of Team Lead, Client Experience Analyst in August 2021.

Throughout their career, James has demonstrated adaptability and strong interpersonal skills in both the education and sales sectors.

James Buxton has a strong educational background in the field of education and business. James obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama, where they studied from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Marketing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, attending from 1999 to 2001. Their educational journey started at Jefferson State Community College, where they earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Business from 1997 to 1999.

In addition to their academic achievements, James Buxton holds several certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS). James obtained the AWS Partner: Sales Accreditation (Business) certification in December 2022, the AWS Partner: Accreditation (Business) certification in July 2022, and the AWS Partner: Cloud Economics Accreditation certification in July 2022. These certifications reflect their proficiency and expertise in the business aspect of AWS services.
