Andrew Ekelem

CPO at Evolution Devices

Andrew Ekelem has a diverse background in engineering and rehabilitation robotics. Andrew currently works as the Chief Product Officer at Evolution Devices since March 2019. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer at LEVMO since December 2017, where they focused on improving mobility for individuals with neurological impairments. Before that, Andrew worked as a Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University from August 2013, where they developed controllers for the Indego exoskeleton to assist with stair ascent and descent. Andrew also designed functional controllers for a custom embedded system for muscle stimulation. Andrew's professional journey began as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Human Engineering Laboratory UCB, where they worked on an embedded system for using EMG to control a hybrid exoskeleton FES system for gait assistance from May 2012 to December 2012.

Andrew Ekelem attended the UC Berkeley College of Engineering from 2008 to 2012. Andrew obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering during this time. Andrew then went on to attend Vanderbilt University from 2013 to 2018, although no degree or field of study information was provided for their time at this institution.
