Chris Hopkins

Chris Hopkins is a Principal Mining Engineer at Evolution Mining, with significant experience in mine engineering and project management. Since April 2023, Chris has focused on mid-term and long-term planning across various mining zones. Previously, Chris held roles at Silver Lake Resources as a Senior Mine Engineer, where continuous improvements in engineering functions were prioritized, and at Alexco Resource Corp., leading the engineering department in the absence of the chief engineer. With a career that began with an internship at Copper Mountain Mining Corp. in 2012 and includes diverse positions across multiple companies, Chris has developed expertise in drill and blast operations, mine design, and team supervision. Chris holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
