Michael McNally

Michael McNally is an experienced underground mining professional currently serving as the Underground Mining Superintendent at Evolution Mining since January 2024. Prior to this role, Michael held various positions at Byrnecut Canada Ltd, culminating as Project Manager from August 2018 to January 2024. Michael's career also includes significant roles at Anglo American as the Ventilation and Gas Drainage Superintendent and Ventilation Officer, as well as senior engineering positions at Redpath Australia and BHP Billiton, where responsibilities included contractor management and project oversight. Michael began in the mining industry at New Hope Coal as a Rear Dump Truck Operator. Michael holds a Graduate Diploma in Mine Ventilation from UNSW Australia and a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from The University of Queensland.
