Owen Carter

Owen Carter has extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as a Senior Tailings Facility Engineer at Evolution Mining since October 2012, following the company's transition from Glencore. Prior to this role, Owen worked as a Construction Supervisor and Project Engineer at Ernest Henry Mining from April 2015 to February 2022, and held positions at Glencore Copper as a Senior Construction Officer and Supervisor/Maintenance Planner between October 2012 and February 2022. Owen began a career in civil engineering as a Civil Designer at LCJ Engineers Pty Ltd from January 2005 to October 2012, and as a Cadet Drafter with Citiwater - Townsville City Council from January 2001 to January 2005. Owen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Technology with a major in Civil Engineering, as well as an Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering, both from the University of Southern Queensland, and completed high school at Kirwan State High School.
