Pedro Valenzuela

Pedro Valenzuela is an experienced geotechnical professional currently serving as Geotechnical Superintendent at Evolution Mining since December 2023, overseeing operations at Ernest Henry in Cloncurry, Queensland. Prior to this, Pedro held the position of Technical Services Manager at Pajingo Gold Mine Pty Ltd. from September 2022 to December 2023 and worked as Senior Geotechnical and Backfill Engineer at Aeris Resources Limited from August 2020 to September 2022. Additional experience includes acting as Geotechnical Superintendent at Porgera Joint Venture and various roles at Snowden Optiro, where Pedro progressed from Graduate to Senior Geotechnical Engineer over 15 years. Academic achievements include a Master’s Degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from The University of Queensland and the University of the Witwatersrand, as well as a Civil Engineering degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
