Justin D. Smith is a biotechnology scientist and entrepreneur with a strong focus on synthetic biology, genome editing, and genomics. They held a postdoctoral researcher position at Stanford University from 2016 to 2020 and earned a PhD in Genetics from Stanford University School of Medicine between 2010 and 2016. Justin co-founded Recombia Biosciences and served as its CEO until its acquisition in 2022, subsequently taking on the role of Chief Science and Technology Officer. Currently, they advise BacStitch DNA and Intercellular while also advising and engaging in scientific endeavors at Evolv.
