Akber Khan began their professional career in 2009 as a Mentor and Tutor for Group Excellence, where they tutored high school students to pass math TAKS tests and apply to college, mentored students on life skills, and assisted them with Algebra, Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry and Biology homework. In 2012, they were a Summer Associate at Right Size Law, where they drafted a Motion for Judgment based on affidavits in an employment case, researched and drafted a letter to opposing counsel on IP-issues dealing with the Digital Millienium Copyright Act, and reviewed contract language for an IP licensing contract. From 2013 to 2017, they were the Practice Lead for Speridian GOV CX at Speridian Technologies, where they developed a justicealign platform and branding strategy for a Judicial Case Management Solution, provided strategic consulting, including business plan and sales strategy development, and was responsible for proposal development activities, building long-term mutually beneficial relationships with existing Alliance Partners and Vendors, and co-marketing and collaboration with partner Sales, Marketing, Alliances and Management. In 2017, they founded Evolve Machine Learners, a part-time Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science course focused on training future machine learning engineers. In 2019, they founded Wurker.ai.

Akber Khan's education history includes a Bachelor's of Science in Economics from The University of Texas at Arlington from 2009 to 2011, a Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University School of Law from 2011 to 2012, a Software Product Management certification from Product School in October 2016, and a Full-Stack Web Development certification from Zero To Mastery Academy from 2019 to 2020. Akber also attended Greenhill School at an unknown date.
