Matt Carney

Matt Carney is a seasoned professional in information governance and IT security, currently serving as a Senior Information Governance Consultant at Evolve North Ltd since February 2024. Previously, Carney held the position of Senior Security Analyst at Nomad Digital from June 2021 to February 2024. Prior to that, a significant tenure at The Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust spanned from February 2004 to June 2021, where Carney advanced through roles including Head of Information Governance and IT Security, IT Security Officer, and Active Directory Administrator. Carney began the career as an IT Officer at North York Moors National Park Authority from August 2001 to February 2004. Educationally, Carney earned an HND in Computing from Teesside University between 1999 and 2001.
