Andrew H.

Andrew H. has a diverse work experience in the field of security and law enforcement. Andrew started their career as a Cadet at the City of Austin in April 2012 and later became a Patrol Officer, investigating complex cases and testifying in court. Andrew also served as an Instructor, overseeing the testing and academics team and teaching policy and investigation tactics to cadets. In October 2021, Andrew became a Corporal, establishing logistics for the police academy and ensuring training compliance. Prior to their work with the City of Austin, Andrew worked as a Cyber Security Apprentice at Evolve Security Academy, where they gained hands-on experience in conducting vulnerability assessments, developing phishing campaigns, and conducting penetration testing. Andrew later became a Cyber Security Assistant Instructor, leading courses on cybersecurity tactics for apprentices. Andrew's most recent role is as an Associate Security Engineer at Evolve Security, where they are currently employed.

Andrew H. completed their undergraduate education at Guilford College from 2006 to 2010. Andrew obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a focus on Criminal Justice and Psychology. In terms of additional certifications, Andrew obtained the following:

1. Evolve Security Certified Professional from Evolve Security Academy in March 2021.

2. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2021.

3. CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in April 2021.

4. Splunk 7.x Fundamentals from Splunk in December 2020.
