Our founder, Dr. Sarah DeGue, spent nearly two decades as a Senior Scientist at the CDC's Division of Violence Prevention, where she led the Dating Matters® teen dating violence prevention initiative [now, The Healthy Relationships Toolkit], advised Congress and federal agencies on preventing sexual and intimate partner violence, youth violence, and violent extremism, and developed tools and guidance to support communities and nations in the implementation of evidence-based violence prevention. 

That career now drives EVOLVE's core conviction: that prevention works when it's built on science and designed for the real world.
