Stryk Thomas coaches on emotional resilience and growth, empowering clients to fulfill the epic stories of their lives. He works with executives and others facing transition moments where new roles uncover novel professional or personal challenges.

Stryk draws upon a diverse background in management, entrepreneurship, and athletics to inform his coaching. He brings 20 years of business experience in strategy and operations. As a corporate strategist, he worked closely with senior-most executives developing unique public-private initiatives and new business ventures. Along the way, Stryk also founded two businesses: a consulting practice and a film production company. Through the latter, he wrote and produced compelling stories, led a creative team, and tapped intuition to inform decision-making amidst uncertainty. As an athlete, Stryk is a distance runner, outdoorsman, and martial artist, holding a black belt in Shotokan karate.

Deep international experience shaped Stryk’s early career. He has lived and worked on three continents, served in the Peace Corps, and speaks three languages. Participating in very different cultures has taught Stryk how the ways we define our challenges and test our assumptions can overcome obstacles great and small.

Stryk is a Certified Integral Coach® through New Ventures West. He studied business at Georgetown University and anthropology at the University of Michigan. His writing has appeared in The Washington Post, the San Francisco Chronicle, and elsewhere.
