Walter Davis has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Walter started their career in 1971 as a Test Pilot at the Naval Air Test Center and continued their service in the US Navy until 1996, holding positions such as Navy Officer and Deputy Chief of Naval Operations (N6). In 1992, they worked as a Navy Warfare IT Architect at SPAWAR before joining BAE Systems, Inc. in 1998 as the VP of Business Development. Walter also co-founded eFire.com in 1999 and worked as a Principal in Simulation Software at EagleSims from 2000 to 2013. In 2010, they co-founded EvoNexus and served as the VP of Organizational Development. Since 2011, they have been involved with BEYA Stars & Stripes, initially as the Chairman of the BEYA Military Alumni Committee & BEYA Stars & Stripes, and currently as the Past Chairman. Their most recent role is at Beya Stats & Stripes as the Past Chairman of the BEYA Military Alumni Committee & BEYA Stars & Stripes, starting in March 2023.

Walter Davis has a diverse education history. Walter earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (BEE) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The Ohio State University, although the specific dates are not provided. From 1964 to 1967, they attended the Naval Postgraduate School and obtained a Master's degree in AeroElectronics, specializing in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Technology and Electronics Engineering Technology. During the same period, they also completed a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. In 1973 and 1974, they attended the U.S. Naval War College, focusing on National Security. In 1970 and 1971, Walter attended the US Naval Test Pilot School, where they pursued the Designated Navy Test Pilot field of study. Lastly, in 1984 and 1985, they attended the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF) with a focus on Industrial Policy.
