Ian Neumann

Ian Neumann is a seasoned professional in the chemical engineering field, currently serving as Director of Operational Excellence at Evonik since May 2017. Neumann's experience includes roles such as Operational Excellence Manager and Transformation Management Officer, overseeing a multi-product chemical manufacturing facility with a focus on unit changeover planning, execution, and cost control. Prior experience includes positions as a Process Engineer II and III, where expertise in commercial and clinical pharmaceutical manufacturing processes was developed. Earlier roles involved process engineering and project engineering co-op positions at BSI Engineering and Cargill, where Neumann contributed to project deliverables and capital project initiatives. Neumann holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Minor in Materials Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
