Jan Hellriegel

Jan Hellriegel, born in 1984 in Bergisch Gladbach, studied biochemical engineering at Technische Universität Braunschweig and chemical engineering at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, from 2004 to 2010. Jan completed an internship and diploma thesis at Evonik Industries AG prior to serving as a research assistant at the Institute of Biochemical Engineering, where they focused on biofilm modeling and cultivation while also supervising students. Jan received a Doctorate in Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) in June 2014, and currently works as a Process Engineer at Evonik Operations GmbH, a position held since 2020.
