Principal Process Engineer at Evonik

Karyn DeWolf has a diverse work experience in the chemical engineering field. Karyn started their career as a Senior Process Engineer at Emerald Performance Materials from 2008 to 2010. In this role, they led a team and was responsible for monitoring process efficiencies and completing air emission reports.

Karyn then joined Honeywell UOP in 2011 and held various positions throughout their tenure. As a Senior Chemical Process Engineer from 2011 to 2014, they optimized processes and reduced costs in the CAT department. Karyn later became an Area Leader/Production Manager from 2014 to 2017, managing a team of up to 16 and consistently delivering on production targets. From 2017 to 2020, they served as a Lead Engineer, leading multi-site benchmarking analysis and implementing capacity improvement programs.

Most recently, Karyn has been working at Evonik since 2020 as a Principal Process Engineer. Karyn has focused on continuous improvement projects, completing projects in multiple locations to increase capacity. The annual benefits of these improvements range from $0.

Karyn DeWolf holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University and an Associate's degree in Engineering from WVU Potomac State College. Karyn also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Kennesaw State University. In addition, they have a certification as a Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) from Scrum.org, which was obtained in 2021.
