Michael Frey

Michael Frey currently serves as the Head of Process Catalysts & Adsorbents at Evonik, a position held since July 2011, where full profit and loss responsibility is managed for global business involving catalysts and adsorbents in petrochemical and refinery applications across nine production sites and a workforce of 400 employees. Previous roles at Evonik include Vice President Global Sales Catalysts, where oversight of a global sales and customer service team was provided, and Vice President SG&A Effectiveness Project, focusing on cost reduction and operational management measures. Prior to Evonik, Michael Frey worked at The Boston Consulting Group as a Special Projects Manager from September 2005 to May 2011 and served as a Project Leader at the University of Cologne from 2002 to 2005. Academic qualifications include an MBA from INSEAD and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Cologne.
