Robert Salje is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in supply chain management and consulting. Currently serving as Vice President and Head of Global Supply Chain & Customer Service for the Business Line Smart Effects at Evonik since September 2017, Robert has also held leadership roles in Global Supply Chain for the Business Line Silica and in Supply Chain Performance & Projects for the Division Smart Materials. Prior to Evonik, Robert spent 14 years at Strategy& where responsibilities included management consulting for global clients in areas such as E-Mobility, Lean Manufacturing, and Due Diligence, progressing from Consultant to Principal. Earlier experience includes a research assistantship at Technische Universität Berlin and military service with the German Airborne Rangers. Robert holds a Dipl. Ing. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Technische Universität Berlin, as well as dual Master's degrees in Technology Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and Finance from Fordham University.
