Thomas Dr. Satzinger has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Thomas started their career in 1984 as an apprentice at Helmut Velte, where they received training as a toolmaker. From 1995 to 1996, they worked as an MSc student at Saab Ericsson Space AB. In 1996, they joined Universität Paderborn as a student assistant until 1998. Satzinger then worked as a strategy consultant at ScMI Scenario Management International AG from 1998 to 1999. Thomas later joined PwC Deutschland as a senior strategy consultant from 1999 to 2002. In 2003, they became the Controller of Global Business for Personal Care at Degussa AG until 2007. Satzinger then joined DSM, where they held the roles of New Business Development Manager from 2007 to 2008 and Global Marketing Manager of UV-Filters from 2009 to 2011. Thomas subsequently joined Evonik, where they served as the Head of Global Marketing for Personal Care from 2011 to 2014, the Director of Strategy for Evonik Personal Care from 2015 to 2018, and currently holds the position of Vice President of Strategy for Evonik Care Solutions since 2019.

Thomas Dr. Satzinger's education history includes obtaining a Diplomwirtschaftsingenieur degree in Wirtschaftswissenschaften & Maschinenbau from Paderborn University from 1992 to 1998. Additionally, they pursued a Master of Science in Management of Production at Chalmers University of Technology from 1994 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a Fachhochschulreife degree in Technik from Staatliche Fchoberschule Fürth in 1992, and a Mittlere Reife degree in Technik from Berufsaufbauschule in 1989.
