Andrei Zinovyev has extensive work experience in the field of computational biology and drug discovery. Andrei currently serves as a Principal Scientist at Evotec, where their primary objective is to promote the use of mathematical models of biological and disease mechanisms in drug development. Andrei plans to lead a group of researchers focused on disease modeling approaches and the use of advanced machine learning methods in creating digital twins of cells, tissues, organs, and organisms. Andrei also aims to strengthen the collaboration between academia and industry in the field of computational biology and drug discovery.
Prior to their role at Evotec, Andrei held the position of Chair at PRAIRIE Institute starting in 2019. Andrei was responsible for leading and overseeing the institute's activities.
From 2005 to 2023, Andrei worked at Institut Curie as the Scientific Coordinator of Computational Systems Biology of Cancer. During this time, they were involved in coordinating research efforts in the field of computational biology, specifically focusing on cancer.
Before joining Institut Curie, Andrei was a part of the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques - IHES from 2001 to 2004. Andrei'srole at IHES involved research and academic activities.
Andrei's career in computational modeling started at the Institute of Computational Modeling, where they worked as a Doctorant from 1999 to 2001. In this role, they conducted research and contributed to projects related to computational modeling.
Throughout their career, Andrei has been committed to advancing computational biology and utilizing mathematical models to improve drug discovery and treatment development processes. Andrei remains open to collaborations and connections between academia and industry in their field.
Andrei Zinovyev obtained a Master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Krasnoyarsk State University, where they studied from 1991 to 1997.
