Audrey Holtzinger

Vice President, Ipsc Cell Therapy at Evotec

Audrey Holtzinger began their work experience as a Research Technician II at Rockefeller University in 2001, where they were involved in various research projects related to zebrafish. Audrey then worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from 2007 to 2008, and later at the McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine/University Health Network as a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2008 to 2015.

In 2015, Audrey joined Evotec as a Research Scientist in the in vitro pharmacology department, focusing on metabolic disease. Audrey was responsible for developing protocols for the differentiation of stem cells into beta cells for cell replacement therapy and drug screening. Audrey also supervised research assistants in this role.

Audrey continued to progress at Evotec, taking on the role of Senior Research Scientist in Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology from 2018 to 2019. In this position, they led a team working on iPSC-derived beta cells for cell replacement therapy and the discovery of beta cell modulating drugs. Audrey also managed scientific relationships with internal and external collaborators.

Most recently, Audrey held the position of Group Leader Cell Therapy at Evotec from 2019 to 2021, where they led iPSC activities for the Cell Therapy platform. Audrey'sresponsibilities included monitoring project execution and quality, reporting project progress to higher management and external partners, and ensuring project objectives were met.

Audrey's current role at Evotec is Vice President of iPSC Cell Therapy, which they began in August 2021.

Audrey Holtzinger holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Developmental and Molecular Biology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, which they obtained from 2002 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Developmental and Molecular Biology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, spanning from 2002 to 2003. Audrey also pursued their education at Université Henri Poincaré, Nancy 1, where they earned a Maîtrise (graduate degree) in Cellular Biology and Physiology from 1999 to 2000. Additionally, they obtained a Licence (Bachelor's degree) in Cellular Biology and Physiology from the same university from 1996 to 1999.
