Ian Wright

Ian Wright is a Protein Purification Scientist at Evotec since August 2022, focusing on protein expression and purification for research. Prior to this role, Ian served as a Protein Purification Scientist at Biocleave Ltd, where responsibilities included recombinant protein technology development. Ian was the Biology Lab Manager at STFC from August 2019 to July 2021, managing operations at the ISIS pulsed neutron source. After a career break traveling across the USA from July 2018 to August 2019, Ian spent nearly a decade at the University of Surrey, starting as a Research Technician and advancing to Senior Laboratory Technician, supporting teaching and research in molecular biology and microbiology. Earlier roles included Virology Research Technician and TB Diagnostic Technician at the Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency, and Quality Assurance Microbiologist at ReNeuron. Ian holds a BSc Hons in Microbiology (Biotechnology) from the University of Surrey, earned between 2000 and 2004.
