Manuel Mayhaus

Principal Scientist RNA Biology at Evotec

Manuel Mayhaus has a diverse work experience in various scientific roles. Manuel started their career in 1995 as a Ph.D. student at the Center for Molecular Neurobiology Hamburg (ZMNH) and later worked as a scientist at IRCCS Fatebenefratelli in 2000. In the same year, they joined Ingenium Pharmaceuticals AG as a Senior Scientist. From 2004 to 2007, they served as the Head of Laboratory at Genopolis Consortium. In 2009, they became the Head of Laboratory at Saarland University, where they worked until 2013. Currently, they are employed at Evotec, where they have held multiple positions. Manuel started as a Senior Scientist in Neurobiology from 2013 to 2017, then became a Group Leader in Molecular Biology from 2017 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Scientist in RNA Biology.

Manuel Mayhaus received their Bachelor's degree (Diploma) in Biology from The Philipp University of Marburg from 1989 to 1995. Manuel continued their education at the University of Hamburg, where they obtained their Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Biology from 1995 to 2000.
