Martin Kotev

Martin Kotev is a Principal Scientist specializing in Molecular Architects at Evotec since April 2018, focusing on computational drug design. Prior to this role, Martin served as a Senior Project Manager in Computational Drug Design at Nostrum Biodiscovery from September 2016 to April 2018, where foundations for a spin-off at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center were established. Martin's expertise in computational drug design was further developed during a tenure as Senior Computational Chemist at IRB Barcelona and the Barcelona Supercomputing Center from January 2011 to September 2016. Martin began a career as a Research Fellow and Assistant Professor in Computational Chemistry at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences from January 2008 to January 2011. Educational credentials include a PhD in Computational Chemistry from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and both MSc and BSc degrees in Medicinal Chemistry and Chemistry from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.
