Michael Draper has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Michael currently holds the position of SVP Evotec LAB eN2 at Evotec, where they are involved in translational drug discovery and advancing academic discoveries into life-changing medicines. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of R&D Operations and Business Development at Curtiss Healthcare from 2018 to 2023. Before that, they held various senior roles at Sanofi, including Senior Director of External Science and Partnering, and Senior Director- Head of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease External Innovation. From 2006 to 2013, they worked at Paratek Pharmaceuticals, Inc., serving as the Vice President of Clinical Program and Alliance Management, Director of Anti-infective Drug Discovery, and Director of Drug Evaluation. Additionally, Mr. Draper worked at Paratek Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as an Associate Director of Drug Discovery and Program Manager from 2000 to 2005. Michael began their career as a Senior Scientist at Aventis Pharmaceuticals and also worked as a Post Doctoral Fellow at Tufts University and the University of New Hampshire.
Michael Draper holds a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of New Hampshire, which they received from 1989 to 1994. Prior to that, they completed an M.S. in Molecular Biology at the University of Connecticut from 1988 to 1989. Michael'sundergraduate studies were conducted at Saint Anselm College, where they obtained a B.S. in Biology from 1984 to 1988. Earlier in their educational journey, Michael graduated from Goffstown High School in 1984. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the RAC (Regulatory Affairs Certification) from the Regulatory Affairs Certification Program in December 2004.
