Romain Rey

Romain Rey is a Research Scientist in Organic Chemistry at Evotec, with professional experience that includes roles as a Research Associate in Medicinal and Synthetic Chemistry. Prior to Evotec, Romain held a Postdoctoral fellowship at ICSN (Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles) under Dr. Philippe Dauban, focusing on "late-stage" functionalization of natural compounds. Romain has also completed a PhD in Organic Chemistry at the Institut de Chimie Organique et Analytique, where research involved metal-catalyzed C-H bond functionalization of enamides. Romain's background includes research internships in the synthesis and reactivity of enamides and biodegradable ionic liquids, as well as foundational education in Chemistry, culminating in a DUT from IUT d'Orléans.
