Sergio Russo

Sergio Russo is a Senior Research Assistant at Evotec since March 2021, where responsibilities include independently designing experiments and coordinating complex tasks. Previously, as a Research Assistant, Sergio focused on cell culture techniques involving IPSC and ESC derived from Huntington disease patients. Prior experience includes a role as a Technician Research Associate at AbCheck s.r.o., contributing to antibody discovery through immunization and high-throughput microfluidics methods. Sergio completed a Master's Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna in December 2018, with a thesis on LSD1 inhibition in glioblastoma cells at the European Institute of Oncology. Initial experience in scientific research began during an internship for a Bachelor's degree at Lab. patologia molecolare "PaoLa".
