Richard Sower

Richard Sower has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Richard currently holds the position of Director - Security Solution Engineering at EVOTEK, which they have been in since November 2021. Prior to this role, they served as an IT Strategist, Cybersecurity at EVOTEK from November 2019 to November 2021. Richard also worked at EVOTEK Labs as a Fellow starting in September 2021.

Before joining EVOTEK, Richard worked at Optiv as a Solutions Architect from August 2015 to November 2019. Richard also had roles at Accuvant as a Solutions Engineer from July 2012 to August 2015, and as a Consultant from January 2011 to July 2012.

Richard's earlier experience includes positions at Manheim Auctions and Manheim Technology Group as a Security Engineer from 2010 to 2011, Southern Company as an Incident Response Specialist from June 2009 to February 2010, Manheim as a Systems Engineer in 2010, Capital Data Service as a Network Security Specialist from February 2007 to December 2008, and Gladiator Technology as a Security Analyst from 2005 to 2007.

Richard Sower attended the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Information Systems (MIS). In January 2016, they also obtained the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)².
