Evozyne
Somdeb Mitra is currently the Program Director at Evozyne, leading immunomodulatory biological therapeutic development since September 2022, alongside previous experience as a Senior Scientist focusing on protein engineering. From September 2009, Somdeb has served as a Reviewer for Nucleic Acids Research. A Visiting Assistant Professor at Columbia University from October 2010 to September 2022, Somdeb conducted research on RNA-protein interactions and also held the role of Assistant Director for the Bridge to PhD program. Additional academic roles include Clinical Associate Professor and Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York University, as well as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Yeshiva University. Somdeb's research background includes postdoctoral work at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where a PhD was earned in Biochemistry (2006-2009). Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the same institution and an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Madurai Kamaraj University.
