Bernhard Fäßler

Bernhard Fäßler completed an education in industrial engineering at the HTL Bregenz, Austria, followed by a bachelor's degree in mechatronics at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (FHV). Fäßler graduated with a Master of Science in 2014 through a double degree programme at FHV and the University of Agder (UiA), Norway, and completed doctoral studies on Autonomous Optimization of Repurposed Electric Vehicle Batteries for Grid Balancing at UiA in collaboration with FHV in 2018. Currently, Fäßler works as an Assistant Professor at UiA and is involved in establishing a battery research centre focused on the post-processing of decommissioned electric vehicle batteries. Fäßler also holds the position of Leiter der Stabsstelle Innovationsmanagement des Vorstandes at illwerke vkw and serves as an Advisory Board Member at Evyon.
