Sônia Costa

Sônia Costa has been in the financial sector for over 25 years. Sônia began their career in 1993 as an Administrative Exchange at BANCO INDUSTRIAL E COMERCIAL (Bicbanco). Sônia then moved up to an Administrative Agency role in 2001. In 2015, they joined China Construction Bank (CCB Brasil) as Compliance de PLD/FT do conglomerado (Banco, Cartões e Financeira). In 2021, they were appointed as Head of Compliance for Ewally.

Sônia Costa's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Law from the Universidade de Fortaleza (1985-1989), a Post-Graduate MBA in Internal Controls with an emphasis in Compliance from the FACULDADE FIPECAFI - Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Contábeis, Atuariais e Financeiras (2006-2007), and a Specialist degree in Prevention of Money Laundering, Anti-Corruption and Financing of Terrorism from Florida International University (2011-2012). Additionally, Sônia Costa holds certifications from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering (ACAMS) and the Florida International Bankers Association/ Florida International University (FIBA/FIU).
