EwasteRJ is building the circular ecosystem for electronic waste in Southeast Asia.

Founded in 2014 by Rafa Jafar at the age of 11, EwasteRJ began as a youth-led movement raising awareness about the growing challenge of electronic waste. Today, it has evolved into a collaborative platform connecting corporations, governments, researchers, and communities to develop practical solutions for responsible e-waste management.

EwasteRJ works across the full lifecycle of electronics — from responsible collection and secure logistics to refurbishment, recycling, and circular material innovation. We also support organizations through secure IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) services, including certified data destruction, responsible asset recovery, and sustainability reporting to help companies manage end-of-life electronics responsibly while meeting ESG and compliance commitments.

Beyond service delivery, EwasteRJ is actively developing the infrastructure needed to support a circular economy for electronics, including e-waste collection systems, reverse logistics networks, dismantling hubs, upcycling initiatives, and research into sustainable material recovery.

Through collaboration with partners across industries, EwasteRJ aims to transform how electronics are managed throughout their lifecycle — turning electronic waste into valuable resources while reducing environmental impact.
