Simon Corden

Simon Corden is currently a Ph.D. student at the Australian National University's School of Regulation and Governance (RegNet), focusing on the impact of independent reviews on regulatory practices in Australia. They have been self-employed as an independent contractor and consultant since 2018, contributing their expertise to various public policy projects. Simon has held significant roles, including Director of Government Advisory Services at KPMG Australia and Assistant Commissioner at the Productivity Commission, where they directed reports on government services. They have also served as the Chair of the National Regulators' Community of Practice and are presently the Independent Board Chair at the Energy and Water Ombudsman (Victoria). Simon holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from Monash University and an M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics.
