Solutions Architect at Exacaster

Arunas Medeksa has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and infrastructure development. Arunas started their career at UAB Technology and Innovation Centre as an Architect of Management Systems from October 2010 to June 2013. Later, they joined LITGRID AB as an EMS/SCADA Architect from June 2013 to January 2019. In this role, their responsibilities included ensuring cyber security and availability of EMS/SCADA systems, IT architecture solutions, and infrastructure automation. Arunas then worked at Telia Lietuva as a Lead Infrastructure developer from January 2019 to February 2021. Here, they primarily focused on building proactive monitoring solutions for IT infrastructure, services, applications, and resources for Telia group and its customers. Arunas also worked on various projects involving monitoring platform Zabbix integrations with different systems and technologies. Currently, Arunas is working at Exacaster as a Big data infrastructure developer, starting from February 2021.

Arunas Medeksa has a strong educational background in automation systems. Arunas obtained a Master's degree in Automation Systems from VILNIUS TECH - Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, completing their studies from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Automation and Control from the same university, studying from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, Arunas attended the Technological educational institute (TEI) of Crete, Greece for a year from 2009 to 2010, focusing on the Faculty of Electronics.

In addition to their formal education, Arunas Medeksa has also acquired various certifications. Arunas became a Certified Specialist 6.0 from Zabbix in October 2022. In April 2015, they obtained the ICS-CERT Industrial Control Systems Cyber Security (301) certification from the ICS-CERT U.S. Department of Homeland Security in Idaho, ID, USA. Furthermore, in April 2011, they obtained the Software Architecture for EMS PoweON Reliance certification from GE Energy in Melbourne, FL, USA.
