Anthony Connor

Anthony Connor is a highly skilled bioinformatics engineer currently serving as a Staff Bioinformatics Engineer at Exact Sciences since September 2022, following a tenure as Senior Bioinformatics Engineer. Prior to this, Anthony held roles at LabMinds from January 2016 to August 2022, notably as a Senior Software Engineer leading a development team in agile practices to deliver full-stack software solutions for an IoT lab-automation system, as well as having experience as a Software Engineer focused on creating a domain-specific language for chemical engineering applications. Academic qualifications include a DPhil in Systems Approaches to Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Computational Biology and a Master's degree in Physics, both from the University of Oxford. Anthony's research background includes a postdoctoral position at the University of Oxford, where mathematical and computational modeling of vascular tumor growth was the focus, and a DPhil with a thesis on in silico modeling of tumor-induced angiogenesis. Additionally, an undergraduate research project in Quantum Information Theory resulted in a published paper.
