Suzanne Melanson

Suzanne Melanson PhD, MB (ASCP) has extensive experience in molecular biology and infectious disease research. Education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, a Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences from the same institution, and a PhD in Immunology and Virology from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Professional roles include Graduate Student at UMass Medical School, Lab Manager at Boston Medical Center and Tufts Medical Center, Sr. Application Scientist and Scientist I at Exact Sciences, Senior Scientist at NextGen Laboratories, and Molecular Scientist II at TriCore Reference Laboratories. Notable contributions involve the establishment of clinical NGS testing labs, development of sequencing assays, and extensive clinical testing using various molecular techniques. Post-doctoral training was completed at the University of New Mexico focusing on Hantavirus research.
