Vlad Gainullin

Vlad Gainullin is an Associate Director in Bioinformatics at Exact Sciences, leading a team of AI/ML scientists and software engineers in the development of algorithms and software for early-stage cancer diagnostics since August 2021. Prior experience includes designing and validating multi-cancer early detection machine learning models at Exact Sciences, and serving as a Senior Data Scientist at GeneDx, where natural language processing was employed for predictive modeling in molecular diagnosis. Vlad Gainullin's background also encompasses a role at Illumina focusing on NLP tools for gene-disease relationships and variant validation, as well as postdoctoral research at The Scripps Research Institute and Mayo Clinic Rochester on genetic disease and CRISPR/Cas9 technology. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology and a PhD in Biochemistry from Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
