Yash Rathi is a dedicated Biochemistry and Molecular Biology undergraduate at the University of California, Davis, with a solid foundation in mentoring, research, and practical laboratory experience. During a tenure as a Student Mentor at UC Davis, Yash guided first-year students through various aspects of their transition to university life. As an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Cecilia Giulivi’s lab, Yash focused on mitochondrial dysfunction. An internship at Zydus Hospitals provided hands-on experience across multiple departments, mastering advanced analyzers and patient sample handling. Yash also contributed as a staff writer for The California Aggie, covering science and technology. Additionally, participation in the 2025 Biodesign Challenge involved collaboration with Yunnan Arts University to innovate sustainable building materials. Currently serving as a Histology Laboratory Technician at Exact Sciences, Yash continues to develop technical skills in laboratory settings.
