Daniel Ottavio is a highly experienced software engineer with a robust background in cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at ExaGrid since October 2025, Daniel previously held roles such as Member of Technical Staff at Enfabrica and Senior Software Engineer at Crystal DBA. Daniel's extensive experience includes leading software development for Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elastic Block Store (EBS) service and designing the integration of Elastic File System (EFS) with AWS Backup. At Amadeus, Daniel contributed to cloud infrastructure software for hotel booking applications and has worked with various technologies at NuoDB, IBM, and Brookhaven National Laboratory.
