Adrien Barral

Ingénieur De Recherche Et Développement at Exail

Adrien Barral is a seasoned research and development engineer with extensive experience at Exail since October 2007. From 2009 to 2015, Barral focused on designing modular and distributed software architectures for robotic systems, along with developing algorithms for data extraction, fusion, and processing from various sensors, including stereoscopic cameras, thermal cameras, LIDAR, radar, and inertial measurement units. Additionally, Barral dedicated nearly two years to developing a signal processing algorithm enabling autonomous underwater robots to localize relative to the seafloor using inertial sensors and sonar, applying the SLAM (Simultaneous Localization And Mapping) concept to this specific challenge. Prior experience includes a role as a research and development engineer at ECA Robotics from September 2007 to April 2008. Barral holds a Master’s degree in Microelectronics and Robotics from Polytech Montpellier, obtained between 2004 and 2007.
