Ryan Heartfield

Ryan H. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. ▫️ Ryan'smost recent role was as the CTO / Chief Scientist and Co-Founder of Exalens, a Cyber-Physical Detection and Response (CPDR) solution. In this role, they developed innovative approaches to threat and anomaly detection in cyber-physical systems and contributed to the development of patents pending. Prior to that, Ryan worked as a Business Mentor at The Alacrity Foundation UK and as a Research Fellow in Cyber Security at the University of Greenwich. ▫️ Ryan also gained experience as a Security Solutions Architect at Splunk and held various cybersecurity roles in the UK Civil Service. Ryan's earlier experience includes working as an Infrastructure Engineer at LOCOG (London Organising Committee Of The Olympic & Paralympic Games).

Ryan H. completed their education in a chronological manner. ▫️ Ryan started at Orpington College from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained a BTEC National Diploma in Information Technology. ▫️ Ryan then went on to the University of Greenwich from 2008 to 2012 and earned a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Computer Systems and Networking. Ryan H. continued their education at the University of Greenwich where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cyber Security, specializing in Semantic Attacks from 2013 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Ryan H. has also obtained several certifications. ▫️ Ryan is a Splunk Accredited Phantom Security Solutions Engineer and has passed the exams for Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin and Splunk Core Certified Power User. ▫️ Ryan also holds certifications in Cisco networking, including Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA), and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). Ryan H. has also achieved the IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) and has completed the PRINCE2 Agile™ Foundation & Practitioner certification courses.
