Frank Chen

CEO at Exascend

Frank Chen has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Frank started off as a Design Engineer at VLSI Technology in 1996 and later worked at MediaQ and Canesta as a Senior Design Engineer. In 2003, they joined Micron Technology as a DRAM Designer and eventually became the Global SSD / eMMC Firmware Manager. Chen then joined SandForce in 2011 as the China General Manager, responsible for managing and operating Sandforce China. Frank later joined Seagate Technology in 2012 as the Director of Seagate China R&D Center / APAC Firmware Development, where they managed a team of around 120 employees. Currently, Chen is the CEO of Exascend, a China-based SSD manufacturer specializing in hardware and software customization services for industrial and enterprise applications.

Frank Chen completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1995. Frank then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from the same university, which they completed in 1996. Prior to their university education, Frank attended Richard Montgomery from 1987 to 1991, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown.
