Michael Smith

Michael Smith, MA, CCEP, is a compliance and sustainability leader with a 15-year career focused on proactive compliance initiatives. They have held roles including Director of Supplier Compliance Programs at Sumerra and Director of Compliance & ESG at Traeger, Inc., and currently serve as Manager of Responsible Sourcing at Xcel Energy. Michael has also worked as an educator in economics and government at various Colorado high schools and as a Political Science Instructor at the University of Colorado. They are pursuing a Master's degree in Political Science and have a certificate in Chinese Language from Peking University.
