Patrick Burke

Patrick Burke is a retired Nuclear Vice President Strategy, who worked for Xcel Energy from 1991 to 2012 and has been in the position since 2019. Throughout their tenure at Xcel Energy, Patrick held various engineering and project roles, culminating in leadership positions such as Vice President Engineering and Technical Services and Vice President Nuclear Capital Projects. They earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1980 and hold certifications as a BWR Senior Reactor Operator and a Project Management Professional (PMP). Patrick's expertise focused on integrating engineering functions and advancing strategic initiatives to enhance nuclear power's role in a carbon-free energy future.
