Ben Degrow

Senior Policy Director, Education Choice at ExcelinEd

Ben DeGrow has a diverse work experience in policy analysis and education. Ben started their career as a Sports Editor at Hillsdale Daily News in 2001 and then worked as a Contract Writer and Editor at Ben DeGrow. In 2003, they joined the Independence Institute as a Senior Policy Analyst. In 2015, they became the Director of Education Policy at the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. Currently, they work at ExcelinEd as the Senior Policy Director for Education Choice.

Ben DeGrow earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from Hillsdale College, where they also pursued Political Science as a minor, from 1995 to 1999. Ben then went on to attend Penn State University, where they obtained their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in History from 1999 to 2001.
