James Clements has a strong and diverse work experience spanning over several industries. James started their career at Alcoa in 1985, where they worked as a Manager in New Business Development and Product Management. James was responsible for driving sales and marketing efforts in biotech, pharmaceutical, and semiconductor markets.
In 1998, James joined Herrmann Ultrasonics as a Business Manager, where they focused on sales and marketing of systems, software, and instrumentation for various applications including lab-chip and genetic analysis. James successfully expanded the market reach into electronics, biomedical devices, BioMEMS, sensors, and diagnostics sectors.
In 2001, James transitioned to Accelrys as a Key Accounts Manager, handling important customer accounts. After two years, they founded NanoSciences Inc. in 2003 and served as the Executive Vice President until 2007.
From 2007 to 2012, James worked at Excelitas Technologies Corp. as the Director of Channel Management and Direct Sales. James'sresponsibilities included managing product marketing and establishing strong channel partnerships. In 2012, they took on the role of Product Manager for Medical Cermax, where they led the product management initiatives until January 2021. Recently, they assumed the position of Director of Channel Management and Product Marketing in January 2021.
James Clements has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biological and Biomedical Sciences from UC Irvine, completed in 1978. James later pursued an MS/MBA in Strategic Technology Management from Pepperdine University between 1991 and 1993. In 2018, they participated in a Continuing Education program on Ambient Computing: The Internet of Things at UC Irvine. In 2021, they joined the Executive Program Advisory Board at the University of California, Riverside, focusing on Design Thinking.
