Project "Biobased Surfaces"
The project “Biobased Surfaces – Development of a biobased and low-carbon coating prototype” is supported through the Grüne Gründungen.NRW programme and co-financed by the European Union (EFRE/JTF) and the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The project aims to develop a radiation-curable coating prototype for the furniture industry with a high biobased carbon content, reducing CO₂ emissions and dependence on fossil raw materials. The work includes the evaluation of biobased raw materials, formulation development, and validation together with industrial partners.

Expected results include a technically and economically viable prototype coating with improved sustainability performance and measurable environmental impact, supporting innovation in sustainable materials and the environmental economy in North Rhine-Westphalia.
