Farouk Kimour

Farouk Kimour has a diverse work experience in the technology and innovation field. Farouk started their career in 2001 as an R&D Engineer at Air Liquide. In 2004, they joined Geoservices- A Schlumberger Company, where they held various roles, including Field-R&D Engineer and Project Manager. During their time there, Farouk monitored drilling operations in multiple countries, identified technical problems, and developed solutions that led to patented inventions and the creation of new product lines. In 2015, they joined Excellence Logging as the Director of Technology & Innovation, where they later became the Executive Vice President of Marketing, Technology & Sales. Currently, they serve as the VP of Technology & Strategy at Excellence Logging.

Farouk Kimour completed their education in a chronological manner. Farouk first attended the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Chemical Engineering from 1996 to 1998. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Organic Chemistry from the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology from 1998 to 1999. Farouk then enrolled at the Université de Haute-Alsace Mulhouse-Colmar and completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physical Chemistry from 1999 to 2000. Continuing their studies at the same institution, Farouk obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Physical Chemistry from 2000 to 2001. Their formal education in chemistry and engineering continued at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Mulhouse, where they earned a Master of Science (MS) in Chemical Engineering from 1999 to 2003.

In 2019, Farouk Kimour pursued further education by enrolling in the INSEAD Global Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, which they completed in 2021.

Throughout their career, Farouk also obtained several certifications. In April 2020, they completed the INSEAD Gender Diversity Programme. Farouk also acquired proficiency in Negotiation Skills through Scotwork. Additionally, they received certifications in Electrical Logging Tools and Interpretation, Essentials of Shale Gas, IFP Drilling, IFP Geochemistry and Basin Modeling, IFP Reservoir Engineering, Project Management Excellence from Caltech, and Venture Deals Fall 2020 from Kauffman Fellows.
